Read my review of issue one and issue two if you haven’t already!

Reese and Chase are having ominous visions, and the Blaine family is all around shaken as they begin to uncover more about what’s really going on.

This is another instance of deciding to read in the morning, in a brightly lit window, and still getting completely creeped out. This issue really hit me a few times with that unsettling feeling.

The Plot is my favorite horror book at the moment for that reason. The story and the art are perfection, but they really get to me with some of the imagery, and that’s really impressive for someone fairly desensitized to scary things.

The Plot is something you can appreciate every detail of, while enjoying the slow burn (in the best way) of the story. It isn’t cheaply rushed, and the tones given visually by Hixson and Boyd are some of the best in the industry as a whole.

It’s a perfect example of a haunting story.

Catch up on the Plot, and don’t you dare miss another issue if you haven’t read yet!
