Review: Grit #3

Writer: Brian Wickman
Artist: Kevin Castaniero
Colorist: Simon Gough
Letterer: Micah Myers

Our begrudging traveling companions are on the hunt for the creature that escaped Barrow’s axe, but their plans are upended when the trail goes cold in a small town that’s seemingly unaffected by the beast’s influence. I reckon things are bound to get strange for Ari and Barrow in this frenetic finale!

Only three issues long, but Grit really packed a punch! And that punch happened to hit me right in my heart, because I’m sad to see it end.

There is a reason this series sells out. It’s full of cult shenanigans, blood demons, magic, and heart. Old Man Barrow needs more adventures (please!), because I’m not ready to part with him or Grit, in general. Beautifully illustrated alongside a great story, and fantastic lettering.

Bid farewell to Grit with me this week with issue #3.
