Bad news comes in threes and so do the creatures terrorizing London – and if they’re going to save the city, Gran and Duncan will need to revive a connection with an old enemy. After all, you’re always better with the devil you know… right?

The epic battle against Grendel continues, and we are in the center of the action.

This story just keeps getting more and more interesting, and the fights are each more grand than the last. Gran is trying to protect her fellow elderly residents while awaiting Duncan to give her some backup. There’s some incredible stuff in this issue, and probably some of the most badass Gran moments so far.

Once again, Dan Mora and Tamra Bonvillain give us some of the greatest art on the shelves right now. It’s stunning, scary, gory, and truly worthy of this modern epic. And they capture perfectly the incredible Gran scenes I previously mentioned. And Ed Dukeshire continues to give us fantastic lettering work.

I hope you’re all reading Once & Future. It’s such an incredible series and I cannot recommend it enough!
