Review: Seven Secrets #2

Written by Tom Taylor
Art by Daniele Di Nicuolo
Colored by Walter Baiamonte

Lettered by Ed Dukeshire

After a deadly attack on the Order, their youngest member Caspar must step forward to keep the world safe from the Seven Secrets with the power to destroy it. But surviving The Trials doesn’t mean just becoming the next Holder of a great Secret – it also carries dangers that will change Caspar’s life in unimaginable ways…

I’m really hoping you all grabbed Seven Secrets #1, because this series is so good.

This is probably one of the most character driven, heartfelt books out on the shelves. I’m so attached to all of the characters – the main characters, as well as the other supporting characters, like those that help train Casper, etc. Even at just two issues in, the major loss in the first issue really tears your heart out, and how it hits other characters devastates you by this issue.

But on top of being beautifully written, it’s incredibly striking visually. The flow of the action scenes, the unique character designs (I am OBSESSED with Canto), and the stunning colors all bring the story to life in a whole other way. And no surprise the lettering it fantastic with Ed Dukeshire on the team.

Definitely don’t miss out on Seven Secrets #2 this week!
