In Jacey’s past is the Important Man who took away her brother. Now Jacey has David, who sometimes transforms into a terrifying beast. Together, they’ve found a way to live to hunt, sniffing out men who prey on the vulnerable. But Jacey and David are about to run into the Important Man again. From Paul Cornell (Wolverine, Doctor Who, Elementary) and Sally Cantirino (Last Song, We Have To Go Back) comes a haunting story about the monsters that walk beside us all, and sometimes lurk within.
Small town horror, the monsters that walk around like average humans, and the monsters with humanity – I Walk With Monsters is a knockout first issue.
Starting out with an exciting and highly satisfying opening, this is an incredibly interesting story that I quickly fell in love with, while it simultaneously broke my heart at times.
The art is beautiful, scary, and familiar. The realistic feeling of the small town, and the dark horrors and monsters within them, is chilling. I love the design for the monster, and the colors are gorgeous. I love the creative choices and unique ways of representing memories, especially the pieces we block out from ourselves. Andworld provides excellent lettering as always.
There’s so much to love about this book. I can’t wait to read the next issue!
Grab I Walk With Monsters and see for yourself!
