I avoided knowing anything about Mountainhead before diving into it, solely so I could enjoy the blind dive into horror. And I trust John Lees writing anything (we all remember how much I loved Hotell, I hope), especially horror, so I’m very grateful John sent me the trade to review!

This was such an enthralling read. The journey Abraham goes through is perfectly set up and absolutely heartbreaking. But he isn’t the only character you get attached to, but I’d rather let you discover them for yourself.

There are elements that remind me of The Thing, but on a somewhat larger scale. But the horror is there. Between the storytelling by John Lees, and the incredible art by Ryan Lee and Doug Garbark, this is such a special book that I think every fan of horror would enjoy. The story is fantastic. The art is gruesome in the best possible way. The lettering is great.
