“The gloves are off, the pieces are set, and the sun…is rising. It’s the final fight. Captain Black, backed up by an entire nation of police, versus Toyo, an ancient ninja vampire, backed up by Harper Halloway, a disgraced former detective. The only way out is the final death.”
It’s apparently a week of me having to say goodbye to some of my favorites, with both Bleed Them Dry and Red Mother putting out final issues this week. My little heart can barely take it.
The final issue of Bleed Them Dry may honestly be my favorite issue. The perfect amount of vampires, ninja stuff, crazy cool action scenes, and heart strings being tugged at. I will truly miss this series, these characters, and the phenomenal artwork. Eliot Rahal really wrote something special with this book, created by Hiroshi Koizumi, and Duke Ruan and Miquel Muerto really brought the story to life. And of course Andworld gave us excellent lettering work, which tied everything together so nicely.
Find the back issues. Buy the collected trade. Get into this series if you haven’t already.
