The first arc of The Department of Truth really ties together the first several issues beautifully. Cole is still struggling with the weight of what the Department has asked him to do, but they aren’t the only ones asking for a lot from Cole. The bigger picture feels like it’s revealing itself to us, and I’m excited to see what happens next.

Martin Simmonds is absolutely the perfect artist to have on this book. The haunting imagery that blurs the line between reality and surreal monsters and situations. I couldn’t imagine any other artist bringing this story to life in the same way.
