“The Producer’s scheme is in motion, and the GTO is on high alert as Gotham’s hope of a peaceful new horizon begins to collapse. Rattled and recovering from a close encounter with Starlet, Harley examines whether her complicated past with villainy is a burden or a boon to her new identity. She weighs two final options: break all ties and retire to a quiet life, or embrace the chaos, risk, and responsibility of protecting the people and the place that created her. The choice itself may be fantasy, as a targeted attack on Harley ends in tragedy and drives Bruce to a reckless decision that could extend his prison sentence indefinitely.”
Fair warning: this issue really hit me in the feels, and it was very hard to not immediately start crying. There’s a lot of beautiful character development throughout this series for Harley, and quite a bit in this issue. The finale is approaching, and Harley is going to be ready to confront Starlet one more time.
Matteo Scalera and Dave Stewart really outdid themselves in this issue. So many stunning pages, with absolutely impeccable art and gorgeous colors. I can’t wait to see how beautiful the final issue will be next month!
I’m so sad to know there’s only one more issue to go, but I’m very excited to see the Harley Noir suit in action. But we’ll talk more about that in the next issue.
