The powerful and legendary vampire, Ian Carfax, is coming to the Twin Cities, and to celebrate, there’s gonna be a cull. Now, Ali DeLuna must save an innocent woman from her death sentence without her mentor Cecily Bain at her back. Can Ali trust her only ally, Calder Wendt, the vampire who only recently called for her to be destroyed?

This issue is definitely more heavily focused on Ali than it is Cecily, though she’s ever present in everyone’s minds. Ali is faced with hard decisions, and I’m sure we will see soon just how those decisions results fully play out. Meanwhile, things are getting crazier in The Anarch Tales story at the end of each issue.

The art is brooding and dark and just as beautiful as you would expect. The colors – dark tones with bursts of reds – really set the tone for the story. The lettering is great. And the illustrations and colors of the Anarch Tales are fantastic as well.

Don’t miss issue #7 this week!
