Review: Karmen #5

Story and Art by Guillem March

Color Assistant: Tony López

Translated by Dan Christensen

In the moving final issue of GUILLEM MARCH’s gripping tale, the fate of Catalina’s soul and body hang in the balance. Will she be given a kind of amnesty and be born anew as a better person thanks to Karmen’s intervention? Or will she be lost to herself and all those she loves, including Xisco? In this exhilarating dénouement and epilogue, we see what Cata’s future holds for her.”

A beautiful end to a beautiful story. Any questions you’ve had are likely answered here, both on a grand scale and with minor loose ends. This was a stunning approach to looking at life, death, and what our own lives mean.

As always, Guillem March does an incredible job with the artwork. The scenes, colors, and characters all bring everything to life (and death, I suppose) so beautifully.

Don’t miss the finale to Karmen this week!
