One of my absolute favorite cons returned this past weekend, the weekend before my birthday, like a special gift from the universe. Planet Comicon Kansas City is a well staffed, well organized, fun and friendly convention with something for everyone.
Here it is! The anticipated haul of goodies from Planet Comicon this year.
I am back (and still trying to recover from) my first con of the year – Planet Comicon! While we had a ton of fun this year, it certainly wiped me out – and we only attended two days!
During Planet Comicon 2022, we decided we were trying new food every day, including deciding Saturday morning we would wake up, leave our hotel, and walk to breakfast in the River Market area.
During Planet Comicon 2021 in August, we decided to venture out for some dinner and see a little of Kansas City while we were there. And of course we chose one of our favorite things to get: Chinese food.
Originally, 2020 was a packed full year of adventure that I was so ecstatic for. Then, the unexpected happened, and I spent that year mostly making comic review related content here on WanderingNerdGirl since wandering was pretty much off the table.
Last year during Planet Comicon, we went to Bo Lings for some absolutely delicious Chinese food. But after we left, I spotted a Thai restaurant called Phikul Thai Bistro and decided I’d definitely need to try it in the future. Luckily for me, we got to do that this year.
Hey, friends. So, things are getting a little wild out there. We’re being encouraged to practice social distancing, for the sake of individuals that are particularly susceptible to the virus. With this, many events, restaurants, businesses, etc are being postponed, temporarily closed, etc.
