I was recently contacted by an Australian company called Geek X about their new line of licensed DC collectibles, and asked if I’d share some of their upcoming preorders. And man, they have some beautiful stuff on the way!

The Art of Harley Quinn Book
So, early last year I picked up the Art of Harley Quinn book, and decided around the time of my first two cons of the year, I’d start having artists sign it that were in the book or worked on Harley art I love.
Favorites
I decided to ask my followers on Instagram (@angelyoung13 for anyone interested) to suggest some favorites they’d like to know. So, here were some of my top favorites I was asked for:
Snowy Weekend Entertainment
The last two weekends, I’ve wanted to do some mini trips to comic shops, etc. And, the last two weekends, the weather has decided to snow a ton and keep me cooped up in the house.
Fathom Events: The Killing Joke
One of my all time favorite comics I’ve read, and can easily quote, is Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore, with illustrations by Brian Bolland. If you aren’t familiar with it, The Killing Joke was a one shot published by DC Comics in 1988, and has one of the most widely accepted backstories for the Joker, though the comic stresses it could just be one of many possible back stories. As the Joker says in the comic: ” If I’m going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!”
Adventures of a Batman Fan – Part One
My family and I all have season passes to Six Flags St Louis this year, so we’re planning to take a few trips up over the next few months. Our first trip of the season was with my nieces on Monday (Memorial Day) and it was a blast. Obviously, though, one of the biggest things that draws me to Six Flags is the DC Comics themed rides and areas, including the heavy theme of Batman everywhere. And, of course, all the cool stuff I can add to my collection!
Have you never been to Six Flags? Well, here’s a treat for you all then! The Adventures of a Batman Fan in a day at Six Flags St Louis:
First up for me will probably always be the new Justice League: Battle for Metropolis 4D ride. I love love love this ride. It’s something family friendly and still a ton of fun. I love the feeling of walking into the Hall of Justice. I love that the ride really reminds me of my beloved Universal Studios. And I obviously LOVE that Batman is in it (duh.)
