It is that time of year again, my friends – spooky season! I am at my peak this time of year. Cool autumn air. Beautiful leaves changing colors. And HAUNTED HOUSES.
2021 brought the return of Fright Fest to Six Flags St Louis, though with some modifications.
It’s New Comic Book Day, and I’m here with a new review and recommendation.

The day after HallowCon, we took my nieces to Six Flags St. Louis for Fright Fest. Lillie turned 9 earlier in the week, and her request was to go through her first haunted house. And, being the spooky queen that I am, I was set on making that happen, and agreed to be the adult that would take her.
This year, we had something a little different in the area – HallowCon Missouri. I was pretty surprised to see someone putting together a horror con fairly close to home. So, of course, I was up for checking it out.
We all have local urban legends: haunted cemeteries, unsolved murders, roads with mysterious, ghostly hitchhikers. One of the more prominent ones we have around here in small town Missouri is the legend of the Elvins Vampire.
And I decided to hunt for his grave.
