Fan Expo St. Louis – 2022

If you’ve been around for a while, you may remember when I went to Wizard World St. Louis every single year. It was my biggest local con.

You may also remember, if you’ve been around a while, that in 2017 I made a solo trip to Fan Expo Canada and absolutely loved that con.

So imagine my joy when Wizard World was taken over…. by Fan Expo. My mind was blown.

Planet Comicon 2022

To say I was excited for Planet Comicon 2022 is a severe understatement. This is one of my absolute favorite cons to attend, and I had a pretty packed, planned out schedule for the entirety of our trip – not just the con itself.

If you missed our trip last year: Planet Comicon 2021

Review – Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red

Credits:

Black, white, and now READ for the first time in print!

One of the crown jewels of the DC library is the inimitable, Harvey Award-nominated Batman Black & White–innovative short tales of the Caped Crusader, told purely in primal black and white. Unfortunately, now Harley Quinn wants in on the action…and she’s got her red pen, and some notes.

In Harley Quinn Black + White + Red, 19 tales of Gotham City’s craziest clown princess are presented in nothing but black, white, and bold splashes of red. See how Harley’s story unfolds in worlds beyond the DC Universe, in the alternate timelines of Batman: White Knight, Harleen, and the Harley Quinn animated series! Witness her darkest hours and her happiest moments! Wait, did she just…win an underground rap battle?!

An incredible array of award-winning talent from across the comics industry (like Stjepan Sejić, Sean Murphy & Katana Collins, Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti, and many more) have put their reputations in jeopardy to bring you these stories–so show a little gratitude, will ya? (And hey, not for nothin’, but they got nominated for a Harvey Award too. Anything you can do, Harley can do better, Bat-brain!

This volume collects Harley Quinn Black + White + Red #1-17, alongside two all-new, never-before-seen stories–from Veep writer David Mandel and superstar artist Adam Hughes, and from Harley’s co-creator, Paul Dini, with Batman: The Animated Series legend Kevin Altieri!”

Harley Quinn here, still narrating my solicit text! My war of wellness with Hugo Strange kicks into high gear this issue, and things are gonna get ugly. Hugo is about to send his right-hand man-child Lockwood, Arkham Asylum’s most sadistic guard, after Kevin and me at our first support group meeting. Folks, some things in this world are sacred, and I am not gonna stand for this. Hugo Strange never picked a fight with someone like me before, and he’s not going to like the results. Buy this issue-it’s a real gem!”

You’re going to find out some real dark stuff about him in this issue, too! We’re both going to have to keep our guard up, ’cuz Hugo has an army of creepy orderlies he’s about to send after us.”
