Continue readingI don’t like to go into detail here very often when it comes to my health. You’re here for cool adventures and nerdy goodness, not to read about the fact that my body is broken. Aside from the unavoidable mention of it in my post about meeting Kevin Smith for the first time, I don’t think I really talk about it all that much here.
But I think it’s time I take a minute to explain my chronic illnesses and how my mortality brought about Wandering NerdGirl.
Continue readingBack in May, when I had a very Clerks weekend at Fan Expo, Kevin told me he’d bring The Convenience Tour to St. Louis and insisted I come to the show.
The Convenience Tour was announced for St. Louis, and of course, I not only got front row seats for Clerks III and the Kevin Q&A, but also a VIP pass.
It was one of the best nights of my life.
Continue readingFor the last two and a half-ish years, my nieces and I have lovingly listened to the Hadestown soundtrack (in particular, they know every word to both versions of Wait For Me), and dreamed of the day we could somehow go see it. Initially, I intended to take them to a leg of the tour in Tennessee in 2020, but then, well… 2020 happened.
But little did the girls know, I was entirely motivated to get them to the show somehow – and the moment it was announced for the Fox in St. Louis, I waited patiently to purchase tickets.

Opening to the public for previews June 8th, this immersive experience promises to let you feel what it’s like to be in the boots of the World’s Greatest Detective.
Continue readingDuring Planet Comicon 2022, we decided we were trying new food every day, including deciding Saturday morning we would wake up, leave our hotel, and walk to breakfast in the River Market area.
Continue readingYou may have recently read my post on Fan Expo St. Louis, or even watched my video on my channel, and fully be aware of how exciting it was for me to finally reunite with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes for the first time since I almost died in 2015.
But I figured it’d be nice to give the most special part of my weekend it’s own post, considering everything Kevin means to me.
Continue readingA few weeks ago, I passed by a Mystery Machine looking food truck. I was in a hurry but excited, sure I’d find out soon who they were and where I could find them.
Skip ahead to yesterday, when my friend Ian posted on Facebook about this incredible food truck called Binky’s Potluck parked in Desloge, Missouri. From the pics, I knew – I’d found the truck!
