The week of Christmas, my nieces needed to do a bit of last minute shopping, so I decided it was a good time to check out some local businesses we could support, as well as giving you all a new place to check out if you’re in the area.

I’ve always wanted to go to a Renaissance Festival type of event, but the timing never seems to work out for me. I’m either unwell, busy, or just unable to attend for whatever reason.
I almost thought this would be the case for Maiden Faire Renaissance Festival this past weekend until I realized they’d also be open Memorial Day, which worked perfectly for me. My mom, my niece, and I all got in the car and drove the short distance to the local ren faire.

Aquaman just hit theaters the 21st, and within 8 days, I have seen it three times in theaters. To say it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. And coming from a girl that used to mock Aquaman – I’m legitimately ready to grab some trade paperbacks and read some Atlantean adventures.
