Review: Invasion from Planet Wrestletopia

“When a disgruntled professional wrestler declares himself ‘galactic champion of the universe’ a planet of alien wrestlers views it as a declaration of war.”

Love wrestling nostalgia? Love science fiction mini series? How about alien invasion movies? Then I have a book for you!

Written by Ed Kuehnel & Matt Entin, Invasion from Planet Wrestletopia is a fun, inventive ride for fans of old school wrestling. Think Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, etc vibes, but with some crazy alien invasion movie twists.

I used to watch wrestling once upon a time, when I was a little girl (Goldberg was my favorite), and there were a lot of things in this series that made me reminisce about those days.

Rory is a character you want to root for, being middle aged and down on his luck by the time the invaders arrive and challenge him, leaving the fate of the Earth resting on his shoulders.

The colors and art in each book are all fun, bright, and engaging. It’s almost like you’re watching a cartoon, similar to the sort of art Amanda Connor does.

Now, Invasion from Planet Wrestletopia is only available on Comixology- so click here if you want to check it out!
