Once a trusted and loyal enforcer for the Camarilla, Cecily Bain finds herself the target of a BLOOD HUNT. Now every vampire in the Twin Cities has license to destroy her on sight. Cecily’s spent her entire unlife preparing for just such a moment of survival of the fittest, but now she’s dragging along an inexperienced vampire fledgling. As the snow begins to fall, it’s kill…or let an innocent newbie get you killed.

Pieces are coming together and connecting, while the story doesn’t fail to stay high stakes for Cecily and Ali. This really was a breathtaking issue, and quite possibly my favorite so far in the series.

I’m absolutely in love with what a badass Cecily is, and it’s really showcased in this issue. Her cunning and strength just radiate, and it feels so true to her character that we’ve known since issue one. It’s some excellent character development.

The art is, as always, spectacular and perfectly suited to the storyline and the world. The gruesome parts, the different Kindred, the settings: it’s all drawn so beautifully, with colors that really set the tone. Andworld Design does excellent work with the lettering as well.

Grab issue #5 and let me know what you think!
