Just after being sworn in as President of the United States, Meredith McDearmon discovers a plot to execute the Electoral College. Special Agent Barto and her race to save one of the members before The Masses get to him first. In the meantime, everyday American citizens are beginning to take matters into their own hands.”

If you missed my review of issue one of The Recount, click here.

Issue one went from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat. Issue two doesn’t even bother with the 0.

Action packed, thrilling, and absolutely eerie in many ways, issue two of The Recount is a horrifying look at the nation coming undone, the people turning on one another, and writing that’s exceptionally compelling. I’m eagerly trying to put the pieces together and figure out what will happen next, and every time it throws me for another loop.

Just as compelling as the story, the art is excellent. It’s suited perfectly to the story, bringing the all too real feeling conflicts to life. The lettering is great as well.

If you’re a fan of political thrillers, or comics like The Department of Truth, then you should definitely grab The Recount. Issue two is out this week!
