Ahem! You better read this closely, ’cause we’ve got a red-hot relaunch on our hands here-and I should know! Harley Quinn here to let everyone know that I got a brand-new monthly series here with a brand-new status quo. I’m coming back to Gotham City to make up for the sins of my past, and help the city recover from “The Joker War”! But there’s no welcoming committee waiting for me, your favorite Maid of Mischief! And between you and me, some real creeps are working to keep the city broken. We can’t let that happen, can we? Rising-star writer Stephanie Phillips, my new partner in crime, takes me into a bold new era with her partner in artistic crime Riley Rossmo, who I gotta say designed a real nice new costume for me. You’re not gonna wanna miss this one, folks!Ahem! You better read this closely, ’cause we’ve got a red-hot relaunch on our hands here-and I should know! Harley is back in Gotham in this new solo series. Written by Stephanie Phillips – writer of Future State Harley Quinn as well – Harley is on a mission to not only stay on Batman’s good side – but to also make amends for so much of the harm she did at Joker’s side in Gotham. But can she do it?

I loved this first issue. It’s so nice to have a solo, on-going Harley series with her back in Gotham, being a bit chaotic, but overall doing her best. I can’t wait to see what Stephanie Phillips does with this series. Especially after how much love and respect that was given to Harley in Future State.

Riley Rossmo has such a unique art style that really works for Harley and her version of the world. Whimsical but with a darker twist to it – exactly what you’d expect for our favorite clown gal. The colors by Ivan Plascencia compliment Rossmo’s art beautifully, and the lettering by Deron Bennett fits perfectly into this series.

If you want to hear Stephanie talk more about Harley, check out this interview with The Bat Force! Available on SoundCloud, Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube.

Grab issue one this week! I can’t wait to see where this book goes.
